I don't know how many of our readers have children, or how many of those children have seen the Narnia movies - about a month ago, I decided that our girls were old enough to watch a battles-fast forwarded version of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Complete obsession insued. Last week I introduced Prince Caspian to the mix - much more fast forwarding, but still a big hit. Anyway, Ana has really identified, scarily, with, at first, Peter the Magnificent - she saw this sword and shield set at Mast General Store in Greenville and BEGGED her dad for it. She has used it for at least 2 hours per day, every day, since then. Anyway, here are some shots of her moves. But, possibly most disturbing of all, since seeing Prince Caspian, she now wants to be "The Bull who says Shhhhh..!" Do you know who I am talking about? I guess the one in Columbia is more impressive, but I do like the manageability of the Charleston Children's Museum. I figured Haley's favorite room would be the grocery shopping one or the art one, but it turned out that working in the deli was her fav, along with pirate-land. BUT, going outside to the painting station must have made an impression b/c on the way home she said she wanted to go to a painting college. How convenient that there is one right here :).

I thought it would be important to include one of Matt picking his nose...haha. And check out the expressions of the "Queens". And I am not sure what was going on with Queen Ana's hair. Also, I forgot to mention, check out Haley's "Pirate Attitude" in the previous pictures. She took her profession very seriously.

I love the Summer 2009 Teacher Pass!

Matt, Olivia and baby Amelia visited us for dinner last week - that was very fun! We got to spend some time with them during their week vacation here in Charleston. The girls always love to spend time with Auntie Olivia and Auntie Matt (we already have an Uncle Matt, of course, so he has to be Auntie Matt - the girls thought they were very clever :). And, we have bid adieu to the Tahoe. It was time. We received a very generous trade-in, and so now we are getting double the gas mileage in a sweet little Subaru Impreza - the girls like the sunroof, and Matt and I like the stick shift (and of course the safety features and AWD - I mean, we ARE parents :) - now we need a roof rack for surfboards, and we will finally attain utter untouchable coolness. Oh, and here is a rainbow - but the main point of this picture is that some houses are actually done around ours - YES! Well, it was this weekend last year when we set off for Mexico. We are still dealing with all the issues/heartache/ disappointment, etc. from leaving. That being said, things have been great here, and God has really blessed us, so we are encouraged, and are committed to just following His leading step by step, day by day, "blooming where we are planted"! Speaking of plants, here are ours. Eddie brought over these sweet trees for the yard - WHAT a huge and awesomely great thing, to have REAL TREES in the backyard! And my veggies are coming along handsomely - I think I just may make some pizza one night this week and pick that big banana pepper for it. YES! HARVESTING!!!
