What fun we had! For those who don't know, I am sick and pretty much unable to cook. So a big Thanksgiving Feast was out of the question. Some people invited us over to eat with them, but we couldn't assure them that we could come, b/c of how I felt, so that was a pain. And so we sat, in the apartment, bleakness setting in. The snow was coming down, and we were feeling a little hemmed in. AND THEN, it OCCURRED TO US!!! THE DELLS, THE DELLS!!! There is this place about an hour and a half from here, that is hilarious - it is like Myrtle Beach only in the middle of the freezer. It is the world capital of indoor water parks, plus has a lot of amusement parks and is located along the Wisconsin River - it is really pretty because of a lot of glacier-ish shifting of plates and whatnot, so there are some really neat rock formations. It is also already freezing over by the way. ANYHOO, we found this deal online for two nights during the Thanksgiving week, plus the resort has this really nice restaurant who were doing a Thanksgiving dinner. So we said, YESSSSSS!!!
