Has anyone but me ever heard that song before? Anyway, God, through His people, has super blessed us lately. We have been thinking a lot about how we will be raising support this summer and are probably too concerned with how we were going to pay for the next phase of training, since we won't be able to work. But God is faithful, despite how little trust we actually have in Him. It is ridiculous, really, to think that He would tell us to pack our bags and take Jesus to people who have never heard about Him before, and then say "But hey, you are on your own as far as money goes - be prepared to SUFFER!" No, instead people have just been so generous with us, and we have just been super encouraged to know that we will be able to at least begin the year at NTM's Missions Training Institute in the fall. It is so awesome to know that people believe in what we are doing, and want to be a part of it. Many of our classmates are having to wait, in order to have more time to raise support to go, but wow - we are just so thankful because it would have been really hard to wait a year, spending more money on just living, you know? So we are confident that things will just fall into place from here on out.
Exercising with Dad and enjoying her mini slinky. Ok, some of you had some, uh, interesting name choices for our new little one. We will have an ultrasound before Christmas, so then we can start narrowing it down, but does anyone have some REAL ideas? We like short uncomplicated names with meaning. We don't like names that remind us of lousy people or strange celebrities, and none of those weird new names that people our age are naming their kids, like "Christman" or something. (That is a real name - I know a little girl AND a little boy named that. It is pronounced like Christmas, only not.) So yeah, give us some ideas. Does anyone like "Paul"? Is that too old sounding? What about Ana for a girl? Hmmm...
Hi Laura! You're family is adorable. This post made me think of this book I'm reading, it's called God's Smuggler. It's about this guy, Brother Andrew, and how he brought bibles to people behind the Iron Curtain. He speaks a lot about God's faithfulness to provide, as you do in this post. I think you would really enjoy it, if you haven't read it already. We will keep you guys in our prayers!

hey there! i have really dropped off the face of the blogging earth these days... but it looks like things are going well in your neck of the woods. i am really proud of you guys. growing up, i thought being a missionary was normal - you know, easy. Ha! Now I look back and respect my folks so much more for what they are doing. And you guys! anyway, how cold is it up there!!?? I saw a thing on the news this a.m. about the chilly temps!
